The cost for these programmes includes:
- accommodation in a very comfortable self-catered apartment with 24 hour security protection
- £150 from each person invested in the Kenyan start-up businesses
- immersion activities (including a basic introduction to Swahili and sessions on Kenyan food, culture and history)
- intensive 2-week course in innovation and entrepreneurship
- full tool-kit of programme materials (including curriculum, workbooks and stationary)
- all domestic transportation (e.g. airport transfers, taxis to and from classes)
- Support from our Kenyan staff
- ongoing support from Balloon Kenya UK team
- series of intimate discussions with local Kenyan leaders
- personal mentorship & training from our UK network of experts
- chance to pitch to a dedicated fund for Balloon Kenya Alumni
- post-programme advice and guidance for funded and non-funded participants
In addition to your programme fee you will need to budget for return flights to Kenya, travel insurance and vaccinations. As a group you will also be required to prepare meals (although the price of food is very cheap in Kenya.)
If selected you will be expected to pay a £600 non-refundable deposit to secure your place.
